FAQ
How do I order your materials?
Contact Joint Project at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . We will be happy to work with you on shipping options. We have had inquiries about publishing our materials in other countries, but most places find it cheaper to have them shipped from Nigeria. Availability of materials in large quantities other than the ones being used for the present year is limited, unless we know ahead of time.

In what languages are your materials available?
We are currently producing materials primarily in English and Hausa. Some of our Children’s materials with black-and-white pictures are available in Igala, and all of our Adult materials are available in Yoruba.

What kind of impact have your materials made?
Our books have been well-received by the denominations which use them. About 15,000 churches use the Hausa or English lesson books. Teachers like the simple format and the coloured pictures in the children’s books. They also like the ideas for how to prepare simple visuals. Although as humans, we recognise that the books are not perfect, they work effectively for our context here. Most of our churches do not have a large budget for Sunday School materials, and these books are affordable. They are suitable for urban and rural Sunday Schools or church clubs and for camp, Vacation Bible School, weekly Bible clubs, family devotions, school, and other contexts. They are best suited for those without a lot of exposure to fancy Western media.

How do the cycles work?

For any given year, we have one book in use for each age group internationally. Although the cycles can be begun at any book, the books are not made or sold to begin with Book 1. At the end of each calendar year, we produce materials for the upcoming year, and only these are available for use. For 2008, the following books are available:

  • Younger Children Book 2
  • Primary Children Book 2
  • Youth Book 4
  • Adult Book 2

Our additional materials, Pilgrim’s Progress and Stories from West Africa, are available at any time.
